The "After" Picture
Julie at A Joyful Life suggested I show an after shot of the closet. I finally did it, but then I had to wait until the hubby came home to to load the picture from the camera. He was very pleased and excited to finally see what was actually in his closet. It has been a mess for a while, and with the hip surgery he wasn't able to get in there and clean it. I am going to try to organize one closet or cabinet a day. Maybe I'll be done by Thanksgiving. Skip did ask, "Where did that sombrero come from?" I like it. It gives it kind of a mexican/cowboys theme(zoom in to see cowboy stuff.) I even lined up the shirts by color(Mrs. Kara) and I'm not a bit OCD. The whole thing only took about an hour. I wish cleaning out my "inside closets" (see previous post) would go that fast.

I'm so proud of you. It gives you a whole new outlook on things. I guess that is why I love to rearrange my furniture about once a month. You did good girl. You've inspired us all!!!
Oh my GOSH, Susie, it looks fabulous! I am very impressed...you color coordinated the clothes! Doesn't it feel absolutely great to accomplish cleaning out a closet?
FYI~ not only do have the same blog-frame-thingy, (you know...the pink!) but my husband had hip replacement surgery in May.
Hey Susie~
Just wanted to be polite and tell you that I linked you!
I'm looking forward to getting to know you! {smile}
You're a blessing!
Wow! What a huge difference. You must have an awful lot of closets if it's going to take you until Thanksgiving to make them all look like this one. :-)
And I'm so relieved to know I'm not the only one who hangs clothes by colors. I always have.
You did a great job here. The "before" photo was a little scary looking!
I was wondering about that sombrero.
Where did the camouflage pants go? they were wadded up on the bottom drawer in the "before" pic. He must wear those for stage performance. It'd be awesome. Actually, it would be a cool theme for the band to wear as part of a spiritual combat/war theme.
Barb- I was exaggerating about Thanksgiving. I could probably do it all in a couple of days if I continue with the motivation I have now.
Padre reeds- Actually the sombrero was from a 60th b-day party for my daddy, and the camo pants were actually a hunting jacket "wadded up" which is now hanging as it should be(with the greens of course).
Susie,
Your closet looks great! Wish I could do the same but we live in a one bedroom apt and there is nowhere to go with the stuff. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Susie, that's been my trick all my life even when I was a little girl. Everything looks spotless til you look behind the doors. hehe I have gotten so much better but I think you hit the nail on the head we just aren't the OCD type...lol, just kidding :)
Susie,
I am already on the verge of major "nesting" so now I think I am going to have to tackle those junk drawers and and girls' play room. Thanks for the insight!

Wow. What a great difference! You want to come tackle my closets next? :-)
Great job! I bet your husband is so grateful. I tackled the bathrooms this weekend and the living room. The house feels so much better, but wow, my scrapbooking stuff is out of control.
