Rejoicing in the Madness

I haven't had many moments to blog lately, as we are trying to put the house up for sale very soon. I need to do a lot of touch ups, and straightening. I am praying relentlessly that I will not get stressed and frustrated because I know how I get trying to make things look just right. I miss writing so much. I guess I use it for my relaxation time instead of tv. God is just amazing me everyday with things he is showing me about myself. Some are good and I praise him for those. Others are not so good, but he is there to help me change. Thank you to all of you who encourage me with your words of wisdom and humor each day. I am so sorry I haven't been keeping up with all of you like I'd like to.

Ashley is getting along on her crutches much better. It was rough that first week. I told her to look on the bright side, "It's not often you get everyone to wait on you hand and foot at home and at school." She needs to enjoy it while it lasts.

Skip is having a birthday on Saturday. If you get a chance to wish him a Happy Birthday, that would be great! He is having his 39th, so I have one more year before I really embarrass him and have the blowout party of the century. He already received the coolest gift from his friend Kirby. He gave him an autographed cd with a dvd of the new Newboys Album. The picture above is Skip as a little boy. He looks like he could be Annie's twin.

That's it for now. Have a blessed week, and may you rejoice in the madness too!

Hey, girl...I'm glad Ashley is getting a little spoiled...it's only fair when you have to wear an UGLY shoe!

I just wanted you to know that we're Newsboys fans too. We actually are friends with one of the guy's parents (LOL ~ guess I'm older than I thought!!) so we've met them all several times. They're REALLY good guys. Emily has her picture with Peter (lead singer) whom she had a crush on for EVER. On our upcoming trip Thanksgiving week to Michigan, we're meeting up with the Frankenstein's for dinner.(Jeff's parents..he's the keyboard player). I'll send you pics!

I understand about not having enough time to blog...I'm sneaking in 5 minutes here and 5 minutes there...my house is CRAZY.

Love that Skip's birhday is Saturday, mine is Friday. Hope all goes well with selling the house. Have you already put it on the market? It is tough being a kid and having to wear a big ole clumsy shoe or caste...good advice Mom! :)

Here's a little tip when selling, put a drop of vanilla flavoring on your toaster, when it heats up it smells like homemade cookies, are welcoming your guest in. :) Saying a little prayer for a quick sale and that Susie relaxes and doesn't overload! lol

Wow, Skip and Jeff are the same age. Jeff will turn 40 in May next year. Say Happy Birthday to the old man. LOL!!!
Try not to get stress out about the house stuff. I know full on how stressful it can be. Just keep it simple and smelling good. Pray. God will bring the right buyer at the right time. Is'nt that what you told me. HEck, I'm still waiting.
I totally understand about the blog writing, before I realize it i know it's been a week since I've wrote anything, its' pretty sad when you own mom and motherinlaw call you personally and let you know that they waiting for the next blog writing. Hang in there.
I'll pray for a buyer for you if you pray for a buyer for us. Deal?
Be good. Keep me posted.

Newsboys are awesome! We got to see them live 2 years ago, and there was some worshipping going on there!

I am considering selling my house soon and do not look forward to that whole process at all!

Wow.. you sound like one busy lady right now! Glad to hear the healing is going well.

Just right when you can and know I'm here as time allows!

I know just what you mean. We are anticipating a move in about 6 weeks if this contract goes through. Then we need to find a place to rent while our house is being built. Not looking forward to two moves. However, like you I'm praying the Lord will give me grace and peace. I tend to get all out of sorts when there is more to do than I feel like I can get done. I agree - it is in these times we find out who we are and hopefully how we can grow and change.
Pray for me and I'll pray for you:) We're gonna make it!

Happy 39th, Skip!
During the prep for move, sell your old 'don't use it anymore's' on ebay.
Annie really does look like him there. However, at first glance, I assumed it Seth...although that didn't jive with how -old- the pic looked...

Honestly, I thought it looked a lot like Seth. Annie is a little mini-Skip though. I guess you just have Ashley on your side :)

Don't stress the move. You can do this...you guys have a beautiful home.
I say...hire a maid and simplify your life!

I hope you guys had a fun evening for Skip's b-day. Was the new James Bond any good? Thanks for the help tonight for Marked Writers! You looked great!

Happy bday to Skip. Praying that you don't get too stressed but that the Lord lifts you through all the things that selling a house and moving involve.
