My 12 yr. old daughter Ashley told me last week that she wanted to hear more about her on my blog. She mentioned something about the fact that I mention Seth and Annie twice as much as I do her. Well Ashley, here goes a post dedicated just to you, my dear!
THIRTEEN THINGS ABOUT ASHLEY THAT MAKE ME SMILE
1. Her green eyes look just like her daddy's
2. The passion she has for animals and their safety
3. Her comic timing is truly a gift
4. She doesn't care what people think and say about her (a blessing and a curse)
5. She has a photographic memory
6. The latest song she downloaded on her ipod was "The Point of No Return" from Phantom of the Opera. SHE LOVES MUSICALS!
7. She cries at songs like "Christmas Shoes" and "Butterfly Kisses". One day we were in the car waiting at our drive thru bank listening to the radio. We both started crying so hard after listening to a song, that we then started laughing, and then we almost wet our pants.
8. She is very musical. She played the flute for 2 years and loves to play piano by ear. I need to get that girl into piano lessons.
9. She wears a ladies ten and those feet are still growing! (I wear a 7 and 1/2-go figure)
10. She loves fashion and art. She has drawings everywhere in her room. I do mean everywhere!
11. She is a wonderful writer and loves to write historical fiction.
12. Her favorite channel is the food network. She never misses American Idol, Lost, Hannah Montana or That's So Raven.
13. She is a leader and will not hesitate to tell others when something isn't right.

Oh, help us now!!! Ashely and Pagie are soooooo much alike. That is scary. We are going have to compare notes.
I love that you did this. I'm sure I will have to follow suit very soon with Paige.
Great post for Ashely.

Wow, Ashley...a photographic memory? Does this mean you never have to study for tests once you've already heard the info?

My Emily also likes the same shows as you. She has also written many stories. AND...she is a born leader. I swear, that girl will be CEO of SOMETHING in her lifetime.

And Susie: you guys crying and laughing in the car...too funny!

I wish I didn't care what people thought of me...even if it is a curse sometimes.

I'm impressed that she cares for the safety and well-being of animals...I hope she pursues that passion later in life. The animals need a voice too.

My 13 are up.

Love Ashley's heart and that she has a passion for little animals. They really need and depend on us to take care of them.

Love that she has a tender spot for music. My daughter cried probably three times total the whole time we raised her and only when she was really hurt. However, Butterfly Kisses really touched her and it ended up being the song she dance to with her Daddy at her wedding this past year!

Thanks so much for sharing all the lovely attributes of Ashley. What a wonderful young lady and someone to be so proud of! :)

I love #7. I can just see the two of you crying, then laughing, then running home to change clothes. :-)

You two must have a great relationship if she lets you publish her shoe size. If she's not already, I think she's going to be as tall as my sister who also has "sizable" feet. You know, you can tell how big a puppy is going to be by the size of their feet. :-)

What a sweet TT. I'm sure this got you back into good standing with her.

She sounds like a very amazing girl, one that any mother would be proud to have! Tell her "Hello!" from OK & to keep up the good work on all her talents.

She sounds like a special, fun young lady. I have a five-year old daughter and am enjoying watching her "come into her own."
