Spring Break?

Spring break? Says who? I definitely don't think it is a break for parents. I actually think it is a very big hint for parents who don't have a serious plan for summer yet, TO GET ROLLING ON IT. I have played Disney Scene It, visited grandparents, sent the kids with dad to the zoo, played basketball, played Clue Jr., helped clean out closets, visited Sonic drive in twice, watched Ice Age 2, played in the sprinklers and we are only into our second day. I'm exhausted! I decided this morning to have everyone read or work on any school work they had for the week, and it was a nice quiet break. It only lasted about an hour and they were ready for the next activity. It's raining today, so sending them outside to play isn't an option. If I don't blog for a day or two it's because I have officially been worn out by my children. I hope you all know I'm not really complaining. The kids are a joy, and I'm sure a dance competition will be happening shortly in the living room so I better say goodbye for now. Happy Spring Break.

P.S. Oh, by the way, I am also trying to keep a house ready to show at a moment's notice if someone calls. Arrghhh! I guess I actually am complaining a bit now. Sorry (0:

Enjoy the adventure because it doesn't last long! My two teenagers would rather be anywhere than home with me!
Thank you for letting Steph spend lunch with you and mom yesterday. She said she had a great time! Oh and thank you for buying her lunch!

Ah yes, I remember the days of trying to keep the house in order while waiting for a phone call to schedule a showing. I wish I could stay at my cleaning like that now though. Enjoy the dance party!

I have to agree with Debbie, enjoy it all you can. I agree it is not a spring break for us moms. My kids are are not out this week, but I'm dreading--opps ready for April. My girls are out Friday for a one day spring break and I can tell they already have the fever!!

You're allowed to complain a little bit. I was just thinking today - as I watched the rain pouring down - this isn't good for moms whose kids are home on spring break (not to mention the ones trying to get some sun on the Coast!). It's doubly difficult when you're trying to keep the house just so. You're doing a great job. I think the sun is going to come out tomorrow!!

How long is your spring break? My kids get a week off in February. But I've never had to keep a house presentable at the same time. Busy lady you are!

Hmm. I should start thinking about summer plans.

Have a great Wednesday, and hope you get the price you want for your house.

Yes, when the house is up for sale it's a constant worry with keeping it "showable" every minute. Children have a way of not understanding that!!!!

I remember trying to stay ready for showings at a moment's notice AND trying to keep the kids happy. Not easy. Praying for you.

By the way, how'd the dance contest go? You won, right? :)

I can vouch that spring break has nothing to do with the kids and everything to do with educators! I am so looking forward to next week. No getting up early, doing my hair, makeup, comfy clothes...now that's the life!

My boys get 2 wks, and my daughter one. I'm so looking forward to hanging with them and having fun. Tennis, games, movies, eating, riding bikes ...
A break from soccer! yay!
Just found your site :)

Just keeping the house showable would wear anyone out. I know that for sure. Go ahead and complain. I would. :-)
