Home For a While...I Think

I have missed sitting in front of the computer over the last month. I've had a few blog posts here and there, but not any time to write and reflect. I probably still won't have much time until we get settled in Victoria. We haven't even had a person look at our home in two weeks. I am not doubting God at all, in fact, I think he is possibly wanting us to dream a little bigger for our future home, which I will explain in a future post. Just keep praying that God will continue to lead us with clear direction, and that we will have the eyes to see and the ears to hear his voice.

On Monday, my daughter Ashley turned thirteen and we celebrated in Victoria at Chili's with family and a few friends. I don't know where the years have gone, but I am beyond proud of this sweet girl. I could write a book about all the wonderful characteristics she possesses, but it still wouldn't measure up to the gift that she is to me. She is so much like her daddy, but she looks a lot like her mama. Happy Birthday Ashley!

On Wednesday Skip and I celebrated the 15th anniversary of our marriage snuggled up with the sniffles. We both have sinus infections or something to that effect. We feel like crud, and are aching and sneezing. We envisioned a romantic dinner last night, somewhere very secluded and without children, but instead, Skip cooked a pasta shrimp dinner and served me right alongside the kiddos. I know this is not very romantic. We were sick, and he more than made up for it with his post I read today. I guess he really enjoyed reading the post I wrote for him last year.

If I feel better I will be stopping by to catch up with all of you fellow bloggers. I miss you all, and I am so out of the loop of all that is going on in your lives. For now, I have 5 loads of laundry to do, and a whole lot of praise music to listen to as I fold, and clean my sniffles away.

Read Skips post. How sweet for him to do that :o)

Good to hear from you. Sorry the anniversary didn't go as planned - celebrate later --- it's the thought that counts doesn't have to be on THAT day.

Writing a childrens book? That is wonderful.

Nice to hear from you Susie. But so sorry that you both are not feeling well. Hope you're over it quickly and then you can go celebrate, just the two of you.

Glad you're back to blogging, and sorry you're sick. What a wonderful tribute from Skip! I love the pic, too.

Hope you'll be up & at it again soon!

I'm so glad you're back!! I'm sorry that you aren't feeling well though. Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday to your sweet girl. Your faith is an encouragement to me Susie. Things just don't always go according to our timetable, but when God is in charge we can have the peace of knowing that it will all work together for good.
I will keep all of you in my prayers.

A very belated birthday wish to Ashley and Happy Anniversary to you and Skip. My goodness, that post he did is so sweet.

What a way to spend your anniversary, huh? I think you two should go out soon and I definitely think you should order coconut shrimp! That made me drool, I love coconut shrimp so much.

Hope you're both feeling much better by now.
