Spreading Some Love to the Hubs

Have you told your husband lately how much you appreciate him? How much you respect him? How much you desire him? These are three of the most important things that I have found to be at the heart of my husband's needs. I think with Skip and I being apart so much this summer, I have really had to make it a point that when we are together, I am affirming him.

Even though we have dropped in salary quite a bit(our choice) since changing jobs, Skip has worked his booty off to make ends meet despite our home not selling. He has drummed up so many little jobs to keep us afloat, and I feel so overwhelmed at times because I am in awe of his service to our family. Just this month Skip is doing two weddings, several card designs for businesses, flyer's, and other graphic art designs. He is constantly trying to find extra sources of income until we sell our house. I just cried to him on the phone today thanking him for all he has been doing. He is so tired, but he still manages to come home and cook for me, do the yard work, iron his own clothes, not to mention leading worship at church each Sunday to a level that I know people are experiencing true communion with God. He also makes worship time fun! My prayer for Skip is that he will not have to wait much longer for things to settle down. I pray that he will find inspiration to keep going, to keep trusting, and to keep following the call to reach the lost.
I love this picture of us at last year's Fourth of July party because you can see his silly, mischievous smirk, and you can also see the love I have for my man. Have you told your hubby today how great you think he is? Go do it right now!

He definitely is a hard working fella. You are very blessed, Susie! And so is Skip, to have such a wonderful woman who realizes his needs and takes the time to build him up!

Cute picture.

Consider it done. I was just thinking the same thing about my man last night. With him gone so much with the airlines, I"m the one that takes on the load, but I know that when he comes home , his desire is to be HOME and at times I forget that. Thanks for reminding me. Jeff does alot for us and takes on so much that sometimes in the mist of being the single mom I forget to just stop and say " thank you and I love you". Susie , You are extremely blessed to have a very loving, funny and talented man and above all a best friend. You two are an incredible example for us to look up to.

This has been something I have been trying to do all summer. I see a world of difference in him. Isn't it funny how just saying how much you appreciate this or that makes them walk a little taller? I am still praying for your house, I am also praying that you find joy on this journey, I know it is not easy but God is doing great things with you - isn't He?

Isn't it wonderful to share your life with the love of your life? I am blessed this way, too, and while I try to tell him how much I appreciate him, it's good to have the reminder to do it more.

Good picture of you guys.
