This verse is my verse I am claiming for what God has given me over the last 24 hours. I had some really frustrating moments of crying out to God this week for understanding as to why all the plans I was trying to make for our move kept giving me and Skip unsettledness. Sometimes, we just have to allow God to be God, and be open to His leading. It really works, and for me, never like I would think.
1. We are putting a deposit down on a rent house in Corpus today and moving on Monday!!! The sweet family is letting us rent for only 9 months and they went down just a bit so that it would fit our budget. Praise God!!!
2. With all the stress of finding a high school for Ashley, I am now seeking God's best by checking out a private Christian school that goes from kinder to 12th. They give pastor discounts too! I really feel like God opened my eyes to this new possibility that was there all along. It doesn't matter what area of town we live in by going this route.
3. This was one of those secret prayers answered. I have been wanting to buy a cute little apron for the last year, but I just never have. It seemed frivolous, but I still wanted one. When I saw one of my favorite blogs, Reluctant Entertainers had a giveaway with a book and an apron, I knew I had to enter. Guess what? I won!!! Here is what I'll be receiving in the next week or so .

Isn't it exciting to win things?
I just KNOW God is going to bless you guys for making a sacrifice in this move. He already is, isn't He?
God is so good. Just when you think there is not a way for things to work out. HE always finds a way. Glad things are working out for you.
Have a great week!
Praise God for His goodness to you.
Isn't it great how God always work everything out in His time?
So cool that you won the giveaway :) The apron is really neat and the book looks great too :) Congratulations on your win.
I am sure that you will find the perfect school for your girl - maybe the Christian school is just the thing.
Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.
Be blessed today and always...
I am so happy you won! How wonderful! My SIL is from Corpus... They live in a town north of there now but she and my brother really liked the people in the area. I hope you are blessed by your time there. Hugs!
I enjoyed reading your Thankful list and am so glad that you won the giveaway. That apron is CUTE!
Blessings,
Mary
Congrats on the big win from Sandy! I was excited to see that if I didn't win that you did!! :-)
Enjoy!
susie - i just found your blog site via the reluctant entertainer - i read about your story of "your blog sites name" - anyhow to add to the sweetness of a carnation - i have to pass this along. i was getting married and we were plannign the flowers for our large outdoor wedding - i had gone all out for the flowers and really wanted rose petals to line the path i'd walk. i priced out rose petals over and over and couldn't get it to work (it was a long path). Then my very good friend said, "oh, you never use ROSE petals for the path, you use carnations - when you pull their petals out they make the most beautiful, sweet ruffle and they hold their shapes forever" she was right =-not only were the super affordable but they were spectacular in their showing for the path. carnations are no longer the "cheap" flower as i once believed...they had the top, primo place in my wedding and i'll never look at a picture again of my walk down the aisle without seeing those lovely flowers! :) enjoy!heidi
What a God we serve!!! So happy you won the book and apron :o)
