When things seem to be going well for me and my family I sometimes forget that at every moment someone is struggling, someone is hurting, and often someone is given a diagnosis that is unimaginable.
I can't give many details yet because the person is unaware of her situation and so are her children at the moment. I don't think any of her family reads this blog and I am not a close friend to her, but my heart is aching for every life that will be affected in the weeks and months to come. She went in for surgery yesterday, and the news is bad. It is almost hopeless. I'm not sure of her family's faith and beliefs, but I know she prays.
My friends who read this blog know that with God, nothing is impossible. I have seen it firsthand over and over again. This is a big one, but God can bring back life itself as we have read throughout the scriptures, and he can certainly cure a life-threatening disease. Please join me in prayer for this young woman who is the same exact age as me. She is married and has two children which will soon learn some very devastating news. Though we are not related, she is the daughter of someone very close to me.
My prayer is first and foremost for her salvation if she is not a Christian. I think she may be, but I will find out for sure. Second, I pray for healing in Jesus' name. I pray that things that seem hopeless will miraculously change and she will fight this battle ahead with victory. I pray for her kids and husband to be covered with love and support by family and friends, and they will find some peace in the midst of fear. God is able to do far more than we can imagine, and I pray that He blows us all away with what He is about to do.
*Also, I pray for all the friends who emailed and commented after the last post with special needs and issues they are facing. I have been praying for each of you, and believing God for good.

Oh my Susie that is so sad. You and I are the same age and I can’t imagine the shock this family is in for. Will be praying for a miracle and for peace and comfort for this dear family.
Praying Skip is continuing to recover well.

Susie, I'm new around here, but have been praying for your dear husband and his surgery. One year ago today I had my 1st hip replaced! God is good!!
Anyway, the one thing I treasure most about Blogville is that we can share our prayer requests and SO many people will see them and the prayer chain begins. I posted about someone yesterday on my blog. He was in the top 16 of American Idol and then was diagnosed with cancer.
I believe, first and foremost, in the mighty power of God's healing and I believe in the power of prayer. I know He knows what's best for us and loves us more than anything.
Without Christ in my life and other's prayers I know that I would be in miserable shape.
Thank you for sharing and I will keep this precious family in my prayers.
In His Love, Amy
Oh Susie,
I pray that very prayer daily for some of my loved ones, and I believe just as you do. We have a big, big God who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think. I join my heart with yours in prayer for these precious people.
Thank you so much for sharing your faith. It is so encouraging.
