Great Weekend!

I had a great weekend at my sister's house in Victoria. The kids had fun swimming all weekend and I enjoyed seeing a lot of relatives I hadn't seen in a while. The only bad part of the weekend is that Skip wasn't able to make it. Being a pastor means working on the weekend and missing some family get togethers. I can't wait until this Sunday when he will begin his month long sabatical. He will be working on his new CD and relaxing some with the family in Colorado. My kids are so excited. I am excited too about catching up on my reading. I have 5 books so far that I am bringing to read. I also hope to write a few more songs with Skip. Colorado is such an inspiring location. On a side note, please be in prayer about Skip's hip replacement that is scheduled for mid July. I am praying for his health and recovery. I am also praying I will find peace in knowing that God will bring Skip through this without any complications. I am clinging to Psalm 46.
