School Days, School Days, Good Ole Golden Rule Days...

Well, the day is finally here. We made it out of bed and out the door without a hitch. Well, actually my front left tire was completely flat, and we prayed our way to the school. It worked, and I quickly found a gas station to air up on the way home. I went to workout, had a shower, am drinking a red bull(sugar free) and doing what I want today. I have a list a mile long, but I think before I go any further, I am going to spend some much needed time with my Father(my heavenly father that is). I am a few days behind in my one year (can't believe I'm sharing that) and I need to just sit back and thank Him for a blessed summer and for all that I know he is about to do in my life in this new season I am entering. I want to write more, pray more, reach out more, give more and love more. I know I can't do any of this on my own, so I am going to go the one who gives so freely to those who ask of Him. May all of you reading this today, Be Blessed!

Arrghgh..I just realized I forgot!!

I had to work first thing this morning (meeting at 7) so was out of the house at 6:15. Forgot to have my hubby take a picture of the first day of school... oh well, next year maybe?

Blessing to you as well...

I always cried the first day of school. My youngest just started high school and so far I am doing OK. I do miss him and then my eldest son left for NYC for school. It is a hard week in some ways. I miss them both but at least the high schooler comes home at night, with dirty football uniform in tow.

My third child, Samantha, started K4 for the first time yesterday. I really thought I'd be skipping down the halls of the school to drop her off...but instead, I found myself weepy and reflective. My 3 year pulled me back into the intended mind set by dragging me out of Sam's class saying, "Let's go shopping!"

Anyway, this year seems like I am turning a corner away from baby stuff and into a new phase of motherhood. I have no one in diapers and 3 in school. It is AMAZING how quickly these children grow. What I priviledge parenthood is!
Love ya Sus! Thanks for a fun blog to visit and contribute to. You are a blessing!

Tiff-Hang in there. Next week is almost here.
Pamela-Sadly, I am way old enough to have these kids, and I did have a great day with God.
Momrn2-I forgot your name, silly me. Maybe you could take a pic and call it the first week of school. By the way, I love your blog.
Kathleen-I don't even want to think about my kids starting high school. One in NYC-how exciting!
Amy-I feel so priveleged that you commented. I am sorry you were sad about Sam, but you still have Hannah banana. No more diapers, wohoo! You're going to feel rich. Can't wait to see your line of handbags this Friday. I have to buy one and show them on my blog and link it to your website when it is ready. Love ya!

Hope you had a refreshing day spending time with the Lord! I laughed at the flat tire. I can never seem to do first day without a least a little something happening! LOL!

Thanks for coming by my place and leaving a comment!

The picture of your three children brings back such memories. We always took a picture the first day of school too. You are so wise to get your priorities in order. Far too often I am more than half way through a busy day and realize I haven't given the Lord any time at all. Not a good thing.
