How Do You Take Your Water?

Bare with me, this is a completely random post and very shallow in nature compared to all the wonderful posts going on in bloggityville.

That being said, I must tell you that my curiosity was sparked last week when my bunco ladies and I began to talk about our bathrooms. By the way, the picture above is not my bathroom. I wish! Love the colors and the floor! Anyway, the friend who was hosting bunco showed us her gorgeous master bathroom and everyone was doing the whole "oohing and awwing" thing, when I casually said, "You don't have a tub? Where do you take a bath?" Everyone kind of slow motion turned at me with with a strange stare, and said, "Look at that amazing shower!" I still was like, "You don't sit and soak in a tub for hours?" Obviously since we had about 5 of our 12 ladies out that night, the fellow bathers were not there to back me up. I was the only one who cherished "hot bath alone time". Then last night I read Julie's post and was like, "Yeah! Way to go Julie! I'm not a loner after all in the shower/bath thing." Then I talked to my friend Michelle about the subject and she brought me down again. No baths for her either. I personally think no one takes the time for a long soak anymore due to out-of-control busy lives, because if you did take the time, you would be hooked like me. So tell me- How do you take your water?

*Disclaimer* Excuse my usage of the word "like" throughout my blogging posts lately, it's like, I have like, a teenager who like, using the word like, like so much, that I'm like, starting to use it like, too.

Ya, like, I usually take a shower, like, during the week, but my long hot soak is saved, like, for Saturday nights, when, like, I can take a hot tea, a book and some candles in there with me and like, soak to my heart's content. Like.

Oh, girlfriend , I'm all about baths. I take showers to. But there is nothing like a long hot soak with a mask and a good book with a glass of wine brought to me by my hubby. Is that revealing to much?
I don't take baths all the time and I only take them when Jeff is home. So he can take care of the kids.
Us Bath sisters will stick together. My favorite kind of bath is with lavender bath salts and candles. How about you?

What?? You can call me shocked and slightly dazed! People just don't realize what they're missing by not taking time for fragrant, bubble-filled, luxurious baths. I declare, they're the ultimate in stress relief.

Good for you, Susie...I mean US. Life is too rushed. I find the bathroom is one place that I can have uninterrupted time. As well as PEACE and QUIET.

About your disclaimer: Maybe it's because I have teens...I didn't even NOTICE any excessive use of the word "like". Pitiful!

I prefer showers daily but there is nothing quite like a good long bath! My bath's are reserved for when I have time to relax, soak, read a book and just sit... for a moment.

I can't imagine life without a tub for those very moments!!

Amen - bath Sister! Life is way to short not to slow down and enjoy a good bath now and than! Unfortunately I don't get to enjoy as much as I used to with three toddlers but praise God for a long soaking!!!! and a good book!

Absolutely, positively a tub. I love taking baths. I like them hot and bubbly. I love to lean back and read a good book. When I'm cold, it's the only thing that really warms me up. It is so soothing, so relaxing. I only take showers when I'm in a great hurry (rarely) or somewhere where there isn't a tub (sigh).
So I'm with you Susie.

Susie,
I usually take showers during the week. But I had a long hot bath last night and it was needed with this cold weather! And my back was hurting also so it felt good on my back. I wish I had a whirlpool tub. It is my dream to have one. If I had one I would take a bath everyday.

It's all about the tub. I used to never take baths until I get a big garden tub with jets! Now I take them all the time. My sister comes to my house just to use the tub.

Hot tubs ... I can handle hot tubs ... I like them best with just me and my husband ... but that's another uh er story uh ...

But the whole bathtub thing ... where the water's not moving ... and it gets chilly and ... little layers of soap film and well i don't want to think about what else ... float around me ...

NO ... i just want it to wash off of me and down the drain. It has nothing to do with time. I will stand in a good hot shower for at least half an hour ...

speaking of which ...
