My Baby's Moving On

Tonight we went to a sweet going away party for my hubby at church. I did pretty good at not crying until I started to realize that I'm not going to see all these beautiful people every weekend like I have over the last several years. Many of these people have been like my family. I am so blessed to have been apart of this miracle church, and I can't wait to see what God continues to do here. I haven't actually said my goodbyes to my dearest bible study friends, or my other close friends. I know I will continue to see them until my home sells. Skip, however, is now going to work full time in Victoria. He is going to try to come home a couple of nights a week. We have never spent more than a night or two away from each other at any given time, so this is going to be new for me. I don't know how the military wives do it. I am so spoiled having Skip home all the time. I am so glad he has a place to stay at his parent's home, and will have time to focus on his ministry with very few distractions.

Our house is still for sale, and I am still Believing God.

It's always hard to say goodbye to church family you have known for years. But I know God has good things in store for you, your hubby and your children.

That's a great pic, btw!

We are standing with you in prayer for that house to sell, Susie. As I read your post I had to wonder if it hasn't so Skip will spend some time with his parents :o) Oh God's ways and God's knowledge. Just a thought.

I found your blog not too long ago through someone's comments section and I have enjoyed it ever since. You have such amazing wisdom that usually comes from much older ladies. And you seem so down to earth. From what you write, we have a lot in common. I just wondered if you grew up in a Christian home or how you got saved, if you ever get a chance to share. I know you have a lot going on right now. I would say "I hope it all works out well for you," but your testimony bears this as God's will for your family, so of course it will! I am praying for the sale of your home.

I have to say I'm a bit jealous of how you guys are getting to leave BAF. (BTW, Terry saw Bill this past week at some Lifechurch thing.) Anyhoo, glad you guys are able to get some good closure and I can't wait to see what God is going to do!!

I have to agree with Robin, I'm a little jealous of how you guys are starting a new adventure. But not with leaving BAF. I know I will see you alot. As far as the Skip not there alot during the week, I can totally relate. You just focus on you and go on many lunches or have a girls night sleep over. Now that would rock!!!
Use this to your advantage. IT's all Girl time. Poor Seth though, though I think he would join in the fun.

Those good-bys are never easy. I think we always leave a little bit of our heart behind.
I'm still praying and believing for you.

I will be praying that your house sells soon as well. I can't imagine being home without my hubby, either. Saying goodbye to good friends is hard, but at least you aren't moving too far away. You and your good friends will have to find a meeting spot midway and get together.

Susie, I pray it all falls into place very soon for you. I can't stand to be away from my husband either, so I guess I am also spoiled! Well, I know I am.

Praying God's blessings on you & yours.

I'm linking arms with you, Susie, and believing with you!

I know that God will grant you and your family grace to get through this transition period.

Remember...it's only for a season!
