School's Out for Summer

Today was the last day of school, we have a dance recital tomorrow, and then summer will officially begin in our household.

We still haven't had an offer on the house, but traffic is starting to pick up. Ashley has 6 friends over right now and they are playing on the trampoline, dancing to loud music through the house, and eating everything in sight. I would love to join them, but I keep getting the look of "Please no, Mom!"

Some good news we have is that some friends of ours from Victoria will be going to Colorado for 2 weeks, and we get to house sit for them. It will be so nice to be with Skip for two solid weeks. Skip hasn't been feeling too well, so please pray for him if you can.

I haven't been by many blogs lately, but I will catch up as soon as I can. I miss visiting with all of you.

Oh, how nice to be able to house sit for your friends. I can imagine you are more than ready to be together for more than a night or two. I will continue to pray for your house to sell quickly. I know that can get discouraging, so keep your chin up!

My last day was today too! I am looking forward to just relaxing a bit, keeping the apt clean and playing with the kids.

Still praying for you guys on the house!!!

I still remember what a great feeling the last day of school produced!! Sounds like the kids are having fun.
How wonderful that you will get to be with Skip for a couple of weeks. I will certainly pray for him and continue praying the house will sell soon.
Have a wonderful time together.

I can imagine you are that much busier without Skip. I don't know how single parents do it on a permanent basis.

I love it when my kids have their friends over. But I get that same look. :vD

First of all, thank you for your precious comment about me not looking my age! (Blessed Assurances Mom!) I still get caught up in our cultures mentality of youth being primo. Silly me! Enjoy your summer with your children. They come and go so quickly! (Children and seasons!) My daughter and I are also doing the Daniel bible study this summer. God is going to G-R-O-W us up in him! Yay!

I am happy that you are able to spend time all together! Cracks me up your daughter not letting you join in the fun. My friends and I trid that once until our mom's stated one day, "We brought you in this world, we would be happy to take you out!" This was the day that we started letting the Mom's hang with us! ha! ha!

Yay! I am so glad you will get to spend some time with Skip. I know you're all missing him. And I'm sure he'll love having you there to help him while he feels yuck. I bet you'll have a lot of home lookers now that summer is here and school is out. :)

I am so glad school is out, too, and yes, I get those same looks sometimes when my son has a friend over, but I'm sure it happens more often when you have a daughter!

Praying Skip gets to feeling better very soon. There all kinds of things going around here now. Yuck.

How awesome that you get to housesit and be there with your husband! Did you already tell us how far away Victoria is from C.C.? Still praying your home sells soon. Have a GREAT weekend!
