Such Great Finds!

Skip and I are YouTube crazy people. We are not at all about the whole recording ourselves, or watching goofy people do goofy things(well sometimes we are), we just love to find hidden musical treasures on video. Just this morning we were watching this scene and this scene from "Into the Woods". Skip had played this part during college in a recital, but this is a broadway performance on YouTube. Our Ashley has always been a huge musical fan and she was mesmerized by this. I can't wait to get to Victoria because they have a wonderful community theatre and classes for youth. My all time favorite musical is Phantom of the Opera which I only saw off broadway in Dallas. Do you have a favorite musical?

"I wonder what the king is doing tonight, what merriment is the king pursuing tonight..."- I'll go with Camelot.

I'm embarrassed to say, I've never seen & don't even know of "Into the Woods." I have heard that one song before though "You're Not Alone, Never Alone..." I'm not sure where.

My favourite musicals (that I've never seen live) are: The Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, HMS Pinafore & Grease." I have seen "Annie" (another favourite) locally. But the best & only major production I've been to was "Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" starring Donny Osmond. It was AMAZING! I still sing those songs to this day. I even got to meet Donny Osmond afterwards. I'd see it again in a heartbeat!

I would have to say that my all time fav as of right now is "Wicked". I love all the music! We saw in NYC last year and it was awesome. I also love "Grease" and know every word to the songs. Those are my two favorites.
I'm old sucker for old musicals with Fred, and Ginger, and all those handsome gentlemen. OH and of course we can not leave out High school musical... and a by the way did you know that they are remaking Footloose? OH my gosh!!!!
