What's Up Wednesday

I'll tell you what's up this lovely Wednesday morning.

*Hubby's in Victoria
*E-coli bacteria was found in our city's water so we were issued a boil water notice, and there is no water to be found (at least I have a few gallons from the bird flu scare)
*Tropical Depression headed our way

It is a good thing I read these verses this morning in my one year bible:

Psalm 34:1-8

I bless God every chance I get; my lungs expand with his praise.
I live and breathe God; if things aren't going well, hear this and be happy:
Join me in spreading the news; together let's get the word out. God met me more than halfway, he freed me from my anxious fears. Look at him; give him your warmest smile. Never hide your feelings from him. When I was desperate, I called out, and God got me out of a tight spot.
God's angel sets up a circle of protection around us while we pray. Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see— how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him.

This version is from The Message.

*Update: My kids just informed me that I must share that it's only 2 more days until the premiere of High School Musical 2 (in case 2 or 3 of you out there were unaware of this fact)

I love that version. Says it all so plainly doesn't it?

High School musical 2, popcorn, drinks, we are set.

Just last night I saw on the news that bad weather is headed for southeast Texas. Having grown up in Beaumont, I know the weather gets a little scary there. Hope this doesn't turn into a big storm.

Ugh. I'd hate it if I had to boil water around here. Hope they get that cleared up soon too!

Have they said why an e-coli scare?
Not nice.

Having spent my entire childhood in Corpus, I am very familiar with the hurricane drill, as I am sure you are, but combined with an e-coli scare? Yikes! That's a lot, especially while also trying to sell a house and start home schooling for the first time....you have kept such a great attitude through so much. And we will be with you as one come Friday night! We have never been willing to host a super big blow-out party for the kids before since they were too young to appreciate it anyway, but for HSM2? The boys are leaving on a "guy's night out" and we are going ALL OUT! Girlfriends (mom's AND daughter's) games, prizes, kareoke, slumber party BESIDES giggling all through the premiere! I don't know what it says about me that I'm so excited (for my daughter, of course, ahem.)

We had water issues a few years back right after I got my job as a 911 operator. The calls we got were intriguing :P Hope it all clears up soon and the hurricane fizzles out!

Praying for you!

I just ran back over here to tell you I saw on the news tonight Victoria and Corpus are in for some horrible weather. I immediately thought of you. Praying for you. Please stay safe.

Just thinking of you after seeing the weather. I hope all goes well. At least I know you're focused in the Right Place. God bless you and your family. Keep us posted.

Hey Susie...

Don't know if you caught the BAF message this week (or two), but your Psalm fall right in line with it. God's getting the word out! Thanks for sharing.

I've been boiling, myself. I can't be bothered to brave the stores & get some bottled stuff. So far so good! Now, TS Dean is my only concern. But I'm lifting it up to Him.

Bless you!

All I can say, man this is some storm!!! LOL!!! I bet you are glad you are not in Victoria at the moment. Go figure. I finally bought gallons of water yesterday.
Hang in there, God may just be testing our faith at the moment. He may just be ready to do something Huge for all of us!!!
