What a Klutz!

The other night Skip called me to come outside and hang out in the back yard with him and the kids. The only way to get to the outside deck is to walk through the sunroom, which is Ashley's room. I thought it looked a little hazy outside, but it WAS starting to get dark. I walked through the hazy opening, and realized I was walking through a screen door. I caught myself, but the door hit the deck and everyone died laughing. Of course, no one even checked to see if I was okay, which I was. When they finally stopped the hysterical hoots of laughter, I told Skip, "I didn't even see the screen. I thought it was just hazy out." That sent roars of laughter once again because all of them thought I just accidently hit the screen off the the hinges, not that I actually didn't see the screen and walked right through it. I think I might be checking for a Lasik's doctor in the near future.

Oh my...something I can totally relate to and even see myself doing!! In fact, I believe I've walked into a sliding door myself! ssshhhh... don't tell!!
;-)

How funny that they didn't realize at first what had happened. Guess that'll teach you for being so honest. :-)

Aren't families great?! No one laughs harder at me than my family!

I'm so glad you caught yourself and didn't actually walk into it with your face. That would really hurt. Or so I've heard. ;v)

Just glad to hear you weren't hurt...besides your pride, that is. (Tee! Hee!) I must admit to chuckling myself. =o) I always try to look at these incidents as new fodder for those ice breakers before a discussion about "your most embarassing moment."

I can't laugh at you, Susie. This is totally something I'd do and yes, my family would die laughing at me. :-)

I'm suddenly reminded of the bird that knocked itself out cold yesterday when it ran into our kitchen window.

I'm glad you weren't knocked out cold. =) the bird also recovered BTW.

Oh, man, that is just hilarious. Too bad nobody caught your graceful actions with their cell phones or something...it would be funny to watch.
