Our family is whacked. I just want to let you know that upfront. We rarely take time to think things through that are major decision making kinds of things. I know that's not a great idea, but it's just how we roll. In fact on Friday when I was in big need of a change, the kids were in need of some excitement, and Skip was just ready for some adventure, we went to the classified section online and found a new listing for puppies. Skip has always wanted a beagle, and within one hour we went and picked up this little girl. Her name is Triscuit. The family voted and it was four to one on the name. I wanted something more girly, but I was quickly overruled. I think a snack food is a strange name for a dog, but oh well, it fits her perfectly. She sleeps all the time, has the sweetest puppy breath, and has melted everyone's heart. So far she has made it at least 6 hours through the night for 3 nights. In fact last night, she slept from 10:00pm until 7:00 am. What a dream! I feel so bad that my kids have waited so long for a dog, but they said the wait was worth it. Here she is in all her cuteness!

I would have never guessed it!!! She is super cute! And your kids are old enough to take her for walks! You lucked out with a sleepy dog; she could have been hyper-active!
You are crazy! Crazy in a good way! Skip always has wanted a beagel? Now that I would have NEVER guessed!!!
Enjoy your new family member! Can't wait to see her.
Cute! Very, very cute! Enjoy...
What an adorable addition to the family! She is so cute and I agree, I would have gone with a more girly name as well. I was definitely outvoted when we got Cap'n Jack aka CJ. I still don't like his name but he is precious!
Well, when my kids are bored we ALWAYS run out and get a cute puppy.
=)
That is one precious dog.
We just got a puppy last week too! It is the kids first pet ever and it too was kinda on a whim (My lowercase punctuation marks aren"t working WEIRD) Anyway, I like Triscuit Very cute!
Emily told me that Ashley said you guys got a new puppy!
She is ADORABLE! And can I emphasize how fortunate you are to have such a GOOD puppy? After our first 3 weeks with Sophie (our Australian Shepherd) Emily and I were BOTH reduced to tears. She awoke EVERY morning at 5:30 AM needing to go out and thinking it was time to PLAY. It very nearly did us in.
Eventually her bladder situation improved and we started getting sleep again. Thank GOD. And thank GOD for your sweet little Triscuit being such a good pup!
Beagles are SO adorable! The picture of your daughter and Triscuit is priceless.
I never would have thought dog's breath would be described as 'sweet'. That's either biased or totally awesome rarity. Call John Davidson to put it on "That's Incredible". I hear the breath gets better and better as the dog food plaque builds thicker and thicker, like a jar of mayo on the dashboard. The icing on the cake is Triscuit is the only dog and won't grow as big as a lab!!
I'm sure she'll be well worth being spontaneous! She's so cute!
