His Word to Our Ears

Here are some scriptures that God is having me memorize right now. Not only am I memorizing, but I am believing them.

"The one who trusts in him will never be put to shame" (Romans 9:33).

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" (Gal. 6:9).

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me"(2 Corinthians 12:9).

Now for my favorite of the moment- "I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD." Psalm 27:13-14

*I would love to hear what verse or verses have special meaning for you today.

Also, just for fun. What color is your bible? The one I've used for the last 4 years is pink and green. Does that surprise you?

Just having finished Beth Moore's Steppin' Up study on the Psalms of Ascent, this is my current favorite, along with the Life Verses of our family members:

Psalm 121

A song of ascents.
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;

8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore."

Here's our Family verse:

"Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him." Psalm 34:8 (NIV)

I loved this post, Susie.

My Bible is burgundy, but I carry it in a red hot mama leather carrier with handles. Matches my purse.

"You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Turst in the Lord forever, for the Lord. The Lord, is the Rock Eternal."

Isaiah 26:3-4

All your verses are ones that Jeff and I have prayed the last few days for us. So much going on that is too big for us to carry but we trust in the Lord to fill us and to provide for those we are praying for.

My Bible is bright red. Like Fire Engine Red and I love it! Truly love it!

My favorite verse at this moment in time is from Believing God
"By Faith Abraham, whe called to go to a place he would later recieve as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going."
Hebrews 11:8

2.1John 2:21-27. It is long to write, but he talks about being anoitned. Our pastor gave an increible sermon about this very thing this weekend and I walked away know that I'm in Gods favor and this is my moment.

My bible is new. I bought it for my Believing God bible study and it is yellow and green. I love it.
Tonight we gals meet for our study and we are doing week 5. About overcoming our fear to move to our promise land!!! Thanks Susie. This was great.

My verse for this year is: Ps. 23:3
"He restores my sould; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake." I am trusting Him to show me the way I am to walk - to lead me in the right path.
My bible is burgandy, but my Mom made me a flowered book cover for it. Flowers - my favorite!

Ps. 27: 13-14 is what I refer to as my "youth" verse. Our first year as youth leaders taking a group of community kids to camp I was very discouraged. All the energy and effort seemed to be making no difference.

One night after getting the girls in the cabin and settled down I was desperately searching hope to cling to in an effort to confirm that we were not working in vain.

God gave me this verse that very evening sitting outside a cabin at youth camp surrounded by teenagers all around.

I still cling to this promise even today for the teens that have been, are and will be in our group!

Waiting for God and His timing as He works in the hearts of the teens!

Love the verses. God is so good as it always seems He has a special word just for us when we need it.

My Bible is black. I had a maroon one for years and I don't know why this one is black. It is a "Fire Bible" and I love it. I have it in a blue case but I think I need something more colorful. I mean, God is so fun and cheerful!

Hugs!

The two Bibles that I read are red and black. I wish that I had a verse right now, but I don't. My verse that is always in my heart lately is In ALL things give thanks. I think it is because I rely heavily on it!

Be blessed - Jen
