Need a Good Deal-Any ideas?

The home we are moving into has lots of tile. When I mean "lots", I mean every stinkin' room. Since we have had mostly carpet in the past 3 years, I need to buy several large room rugs. Do you have any idea where to find large area rugs at a good price? I also want a couple of shag rugs for the kids that will be durable, but also trendy and fun. Since Victoria doesn't have much other than Target, Lowe's and Home Depot, I will probably go to SA, Austin or Houston.

Since I have you here, what kind of window treatment would you do for the girl's room to go with this? There is only one large window in the room. Maybe black/white alternate sheers? I haven't got a clue.

Are you using the pink as a complementary color, too? I'd try to find black and white sheers with a hot pink scarf or something to jazz it up a bit.

As far as rugs go, I have no idea around your area. Too bad you aren't up here . . . the carpet capital of the world. You'd have no end to the choices of places to go for discount rugs.

Lowe's does have some neat things sometimes, and at great prices usually. Maybe that will save you a trip to somewhere else.

Check Craig's list in your area, too. Sometimes people are selling or giving away stuff that just might be what you're looking for.

May God lead you right to the things you need, dear Susie.

I find good deals for rugs at Garden Ridge. You may even be able to find something at Wal-Mart, believe it or not.

Your new house is adorable! I love the Mediterranean look. I also love the new bedding and your new haircut. What can I say? You just have great taste! And - I'm so happy to hear Poppi is on the mend. Thank you, Lord!

I love the bedding - its a shame they don't do matching curtains. I agree with Pam about finding something in hot pink to jazz it up. Please show pictures when you decide.

Cannot help you with rugs as I live in England but wish you all the best for finding an ideal solution for you.

I was about to suggest Home depot or target. With tile throught out our house that is where I get mine and now that target has block carpet tiles you can do so much. I would go simple and not go overboard with rugs. They are easy to replace with kids and spills. Good luck and let me know if you want help picking out rugs.

Does the comforter have matching sheets? You could make a window treatment out of them...just a thought. Sounds like things are going well with you guys! Love to hear that! Also, love the hair and was going to suggest lighter highlights and not going too short! Great minds think a like I guess! It looks great!
