1. Staying up late and sleeping in.
2. Watching how each of my children likes to spend their free time. Ashley is all about writing and designing. She is constantly writing lyrics to songs, stories and always creating designs on Polyvore.
Seth is ALL ABOUT MUSIC. He started piano lessons last week and Skip is teaching him guitar. He basically sits at his keyboard or plugs into his amp 24/7 unless I tell him to come eat or that we are going swimming. I really wanted Seth to find his nitch in life early since sports are not his thing. Praise God the boy takes after his father.
Annie is all about having fun playing games and activities. She loves card games best. She and Skip have their daddy/daughter time at the kitchen table with the poker chips almost every other night. Yesterday I heard her ask Skip, "Daddy, were you ever a dealer before you were a pastor?" I thought that was hilarious. And no, he wasn't BTW.
3. The smells of sun tan lotion and barbeque grilling.
4. The beach and the pool.
5. Reading while watching the kids swim.

My thankful list of summer;
-A swimsuit that fits and looks good.

I posted a similar list. Although our 1 year old has no concept of sleeping in. If she sleeps until 6am, I am whispering a "Thank you, Lord!"
Wonderful summertime blessings.
Happy Thankful Thursday!
Hi Susie,
What a delightful post. These things of summer are wonderful and the way recognize your children and the sweet time you spend made me smile.
Summers are great! The flowers, the beach, the heat...but then rainy days are great too. All seasons bring special things to our lives.
Thanks for sharing your list and thanks for introducing us to your talented kids.
They sound like really great kids. You're doing such a wonderful job with them.
I love looking at the differences and similarities in my boys. This was a fun Thankful Thursday.
It made me smile about your daughter asking you beloved if he ever was a dealer - too cute!!!!
Oh - summer time fun - it is great when you can jump in the pool. Right now I am still thankful for the cool nights - that might be over by July 4th - that it will only cool down to 97F...
Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.
Be blessed today and always...
hey! I miss you! What in the heck is going on while I am gone? Micah has kept me updated on all the crap that has come out this week. I know you leave for your writers conference, but when we are all back on town, we need to have a family poker night and relieve some stress! :)
Mmmm...I just love staying up late and sleeping in! Your list is lovely. God bless you.
