Planning Ahead

I absolutely love it when I have special dates on the calendar for the months ahead! For instance, our church is doing the Beth Moore Live Simulcast for "So Long, Insecurity" coming up in April. Also, my nephew Matt Prokop has a role in the feature film "Furry Vengeance" coming out the same month. When I have joyful things to look forward to, it makes the the difficult days easier to swallow. Overall, my life is more blessed than I deserve, but like anyone, things happen in and beyond our control which put a damper on our expectations of what we'd like to happen.

Just like looking forward to a calendar full of fun things, God's Word is jam packed with wonderful things we should be anticipating for our future. Things that are eternal and will completely blow our minds. A real heaven where we will finally be face to face with our Sovereign Lord. We will have no fear, no mourning, no disease, and no dieting (please God, no dieting). We will walk on streets of gold, see those loved ones who have shared our faith in Christ, and we will be in paradise. These are the things which I long for, I get crazy excited for, and I believe with all my heart I will see. What is even more cool is that Jesus is longing to see us face to face too. He is after all waiting on His bride which is you and me, and all those who have trusted in Christ as their Savior.

Whatever you are dealing with today, stop for a moment and be still. Take a moment to pray and ask God to remind you of all that He has waiting for you. Rejoice that your name is written in Heaven, and that these days are but a vapor. If you haven't put your faith in Christ, what are you waiting for? He is the most real thing I know! He can and will change your life if you ask him to come into your heart. No matter what brief moments of happiness God has blessed you with in this time on earth, nothing will compare to the blessed life he has prepared for you eternally.

"However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him." 1 Corinthians 2:9

A beautiful post, as usual Susie! Have fun at Beth's simulcast in April. She's coming to Toronto "Live" in less than a month - can't wait! I think it's her first time here too so it's extra special for us!

God bless
