My Prayer for Today

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does. James 1:2-7

Dear Heavenly Father,

I need these words to sink in today to the very depths of my heart. First, I want to praise you God for all the blessings and answers to prayers you have given me over the last few months. Though it may seem that a lot of cards are stacked against us right now, I know that you have shown me time and time again that you are at work. I have lived this summer in the best attitude I possible can live in, but I am reaching a point where I am faltering. Lord, I need you to come into these unsettled parts of my life and settle them. Lord, you know my situation inside and out. I want my family together, and I want our own permanent place to come to each night. I pray most of all for my husband. I pray for his patience and endurance to be strengthened by your power. Lord, bless him with your presence and show him that you ARE GOING TO WORK ALL THINGS FOR GOOD. Give him a peace and joy throughout his day. Father, I thank you for his gifts and talents which are amazing in every way. Let him see that obstacles are nothing to you, and if you give them to us, they are for a reason. Help me to be the wife he needs right now. Help me be a joyful mom. Most of all, let me shine your light so that others may know of the great and awesome God I serve. Forgive me Lord for not being content in all circumstances. I just know you have more in mind for my family and we want to be in on it. Help us throw off doubt and fear, and move to a confidence of trusting you completely. I pray this in your Son's precious name, Amen

I don't know of anything harder than waiting - when you believe you have done everything according to God's will and things just don't go as planned. We are in the same place Susie, but we aren't separated the way y'all are. I know how difficult this is. Your prayer has certainly touched the Father's heart - it is so tender and heartfelt. I believe He hears and answers prayer. I believe He is faithful. I am just going to keep praying for you.
I'm so sorry things are so difficult right now. I remember a quote from Ruth Graham that I say to myself often "Discouragement is the devil's calling card.". How happy he would be if we gave up. I know you will never do that. Your faith encourages me. God has not forgotten about you and Skip and the kids. He is working things out. If I didn't believe that, I really would just give up. I believe He is faithful.
I'm praying Susie.

I know this is so hard. You just keep praying that sweet prayer that will indeed help make you a more Godly woman every day, and I will continue to pray HE SELLS YOUR HOUSE! =)

Hugs.
