Thankful Thursday

I can't believe Christmas Day is only 6 days away! Are you ready? I'm getting there slowly but surely. My list of thankfuls this week are short and simple, but worth more than I could ever deserve.

1. Jesus, the one and only.

2. Skip, my love.

3. My babies.

4. My beautiful family on both sides.

5. My friends(old friends, new friends, and blog friends).

6. Food, clothing and shelter (truly I don't take these for granted anymore).

7. People who are unashamed and unafraid to reach a lost world.

8. Challenges(help me to grow).

9. Disappointment(brings me to my knees).

10. Music and laughter

If you want to share your own Thankful Thursday post with others, stop by here to join us all.

Happy TT...

Great list, we have so much to be grateful for.

Your home is so beautiful, I just took the tour.

Merry Christmas!

Happy TT! What a great list--it's hard to be thankful in the midst of challenge and disappointment, so thanks for the reminder.

Amen to your thankfuls! Thank you for praying for my son. He knows the Lord, he just decided to walk away about 4 years ago. It's been a long hard road, but as I said, he's showing definite signs of coming back to what he knows is true. He's 23 now and maturing in his thoughts and actions.

I was browsing your site. Your home and family look lovely. I also took note of your "It's A Wonderful Life" post. My hubby's favorite movie. On my blog I have on the sidebar a topic on gingerbread houses. I went to view the national competition this year and one of the entries was a re-creation of Bedford Falls! Very cute.
Have a blessed Christmas.

What a great list - from the things we sometimes take for granted to even disappointments. Blessed be His Name.

What a wonderful list! It's so easy to get caught up in the commercial aspects of Christmas. It's so much better to focus on the true meaning of the season!

Oh Susie,

Your list is just filled up with profound wisdom and truth. Awesome. So glad I stopped in. Hope to do some more visiting in the future.

Have a blessed and beautiful Christmas. Love and hugs, Lynn

Hi Friend-

Although we do not have friends in common- I actually do not know the Parkers and they were not on the list that went to Mexico from my church in Louisiana- I read your comments you left over at my place, and read the story behind your title and now I am convinced that we are friends.
How is the house market in Texas? I thought that our house would be on the market for 6 months or so... but it sold in 1 month. God has your next home picked out for you and just the right time to move into it!

I just want you to know that you are a blessing to me. This post is a perfect example of your pink carnation story. You can list the most simple basic blessings of life in a simple basic way and still shine forth the simple basic love of Jesus in a way that no one could miss. I hope your family has a BEAUTIFUL memorable Christmas!

You list is so wonderful. I especially love the last three items. It's so true-what you said about disappointment. Many times, I was down on knees , it did brought me a lot of good. Of course I couldn't be thankful at that exact moment, but looking at it all later - I know I'm better off being disappointed at some points in my life.
